Dear Brothers;
The next fund raiser is set for October 23rd and will be at the LaPorte VFW Post 1130, doors will open at 6:PM, the band will start at 8:PM. We still need you to bring items for give away and to be raffled. Bring any thing you can come up with to the next meeting, Wednesday September 8, 7PM, at Post 1130. We now have items to sell. A Vietnam Veterans license plate and a Vietnam Veterans License plate frame. They are both VERY SHARP and sell for $10 each. You can get one for yourself, and some to sell at the next meeting.
The Christmas party committee has set the date for our annual Christmas party for January 15. Details will be announced soon.
VFW Post 1130 is now serving LUNCH daily from 11:00 AM. with a different lunch special everyday. So if you are in the LaPorte area, check it out, it is always good, and it's for a good cause.
In this newsletter, you will find the application for a brick with your
name, or the name of someone of your choice in the walk of honor to be
constructed soon. Also, a membership roster for , so now you
know who all is in our group. I want to especially welcome the new members from out of state, and from out of country, who joined via the Internet. Several guys have told me they check out our web site and find it very informative and entertaining. We can thank our own Paul Ewing for putting our group into the 21st century.
I encourage EVERY MEMBER to get involved in helping our organization to prosper. Come to the meetings, get involved, and especially help with the upcoming fundraiser. As you can see from the membership roster we are growing into a large group, and we need more than the usual 10 or 12 people doing all the work, all the time. GET INVOLVED.
