July 99

Dear Brothers;

Well, the last July 4th parade of this millenium was a great success thanks to the color guard from Vietnam Veterans . We survived the 100-degree heat and the gale force winds, and did it looking very sharp. This year we had the honor of being in the presence of THREE Pinkerton brothers, Larry, Dick, and Terry Pinkerton. My thanks to all the brothers who participated and made it a grand event.

ANNUAL DUES ARE NOW DUE! If you haven't sent your $12.00 in yet, DO IT NOW. I will be sending out the annual membership cards in next month’s newsletter to everyone whose dues are paid. Send $12 to VIETNAM VETERANS INC., P.O. BOX 8589, MICHIGAN CITY, IN. 46350

If you have time on your hands and want to volunteer to do something important with that time, you can call the Michigan City DAV, and volunteer to drive the VAN FOR VETS. You can transport fellow veterans to the Veterans Clinic in Crown Point. The GREAT LAKES MILITARY MUSEUM also needs volunteers to assist visitors. The Museum is located in the shopping center in Michigan City on U.S. 20, across from the Marquette Mall, where K-Mart used to be.

Next regular meeting is Wednesday August 11, 7:00 PM at LaPorte VFW Post 1130. Plan to attend.

Sincerely;

Richard J. Mrozinski Jr.

President, Vietnam Veterans Inc.
