The 1999 fund raising event was a great success. Thanks to the efforts of some of our members, we were able to raise over $1400! I wish to personally thank everyone who contributed to make this event such a great time. For those of you who couldn't attend you can check us out at www.namvets.com.
Our next meeting is Wednesday April 14, 7:00 PM, LaPorte VFW Post 1130. This is election night, which will be the first order of bossiness. We will also be discussing the upcoming re-dedication of our monument in Soldiers Park, LaPorte. We also have an unusual treat. Representatives from theVET CENTER in Highland Indiana will be there to present a program about the many benefits available to Vietnam 'Veterans, including counseling programs. It will be very worth your while to attend, so please be there if it is at all possible.
