namvets.com  Welcome home Bothers and Sisters!

Brothers;

My thanks to the brothers who showed up at the monument on Monday Memorial day to take part in our own little ceremony. We remembered the still missing Indiana servicemen, and paid respects to all our brothers who died in the war. Then at 10:30 we all went down to Fox park for the memorial service put on by the American Legion and the VFW. It was very nice, and we made a commanding appearance in our cammies.

If you have not yet bought a brick in the "Walk of Honor" , I surely can not understand why not. There is now over 1100 engraved bricks in the walk and room for about that many more. Phase two of the walkway will be dedicated on Sunday July 1, 2001 and the ceremony will start at 1500 Hours. I want as many Vietnam Veterans as can possibly attend, and hopefully many in cammies. The walkway is really an awesome and beautiful thing to see, and we all need to be part of it.

Perhaps the most important function of this organization every year is the annual LaPorte 4th of July parade. As always will be in the parade, and I ask you now to start planning for it. We will meet in our usual place, the parking lot of the bread store at the corner of Lincolnway and Adams. Be there by 0930 AM please.

S incerely

Rich
