Dear Brothers;

Since our last newsletter the color guard led the LaPorte parade on the 4th of July, and looked damn good doing it! Thanks to the 12 guys who showed up and made the 2000 parade something to remember. Also a special thanks to "TOP" Paul Ewing for having the refreshments at the end of the route, and for giving us old farts a ride back up town. If you want to join us in next years Parade, get some cammie's, and get in touch, we always have room for more.

On Sunday August 6, the "WALK OF HONOR' was dedicated at LaPorte's Soldiers Memorial Park Thanks to the 9 guys who showed up to be in the color guard, we were looking sharp. Currently 540 bricks are engraved with the names of LaPorte County veterans. As more bricks are sold and then engraved, they will replace blank bricks in the walk. Eventually 2400 engraved bricks will complete the walk that stretches past all the monuments from all the wars: -Engraved bricks are still available for $25, from the Mayors Veterans Committee. If you need an application form, call me at 326-0523. If you don't have a brick yet, what are you waiting for? To be eligible, you need to be a veteran of the American military, and must have lived in LaPorte County.

If your dues are paid, your new membership card is attached. If your dues are paid and you don't have a membership, card attached, call me. If you haven't  paid your dues ........what WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?????

Don't FORGET THE 18th ANNUAL VIETNAM VETERANS REUNION AT KOKOMO INDIANA, SEPTEMBER 15-16-17..SEE YA THERE!
